Wheels ... refurbish?

Silver

Hello everyone. I have a black edition 2015 Boxster. Bought from Porsche nearly 4 years ago. After several run ins with curbs my wheels are looking pretty poor. Can anyone suggest who to approach for refurbishment. I am based 12 miles south of Cambridge. Thanks in advance.

Contact Chris at Excel wheels and check out the service he provides. As good as they come.

+1 for Chris - not the cheapest but he will collect your wheels, provide loaners and deliver back in around a week. He travels widely, based I think in Lincolnshire. Lepsons did the actual refurbishment of mine for him - they have a good reputation too I think.

Only two I know do a good job and would use myself are.
Excel Wheels or Planet Wheels in Bucks

Best of luck.

So everyone seems to reckon excel wheels are great....how much is this going to set me back...ballpark for 4 wheels and how do I get in contact with him?

+1 for Chris at Exel Wheels, great service and wouldn't hesitate to use again

Cheers

Graham

My 20" Carrera S wheels in silver were £500 I think from memory using his collection service. The Porsche paint is a special order and apprently more difficult to apply than most.

Hi
Have a look at Perfection Group, they can refurb your wheels at home, check there website and find nearest engineer to you.
perfectiongroup.net

At least you've only fallen out with the curbs, just had to get a new rim from Germany (as none in UK or I get a new rim from OPC at £1100), so its cost me best part £700 with a replace tyre (as that blown) [:(][:(][:(][:(] Tried a few to see if repairable, but all said no!!!!!

Out of interest, what is special about the Porsche paint and it's application?
Why not just take the wheels to the local wheel repair shop?

Just had the Cookie Cutters on my 73 911 done locally, £200 for 5 , tyres off, grit blast, powder coated, tyre on and balance.
Painted 'classic Ford Silver' and not 'Bright AUDI'

The wheels were scruffy but undamaged.
