Hi the motor that turns the gears, that pushes the rod, that moves the actuating lever, that opens/closes the heater flaps ..... has failed on my car. All other elements of the heater control unit have tested fine with power being delivered to the motor.

I have not been able to fine anyone selling a replacement motor and am faced with buying a complete heater control unit for £1,200 plus Vat ?? Or chancing a salvaged unit.

Does anyone know where I might source an electric motor?

If you can find a really decent alternator repair shop and the motor can be taken apart without destroying it then they may be able to rebuild it. Theres someone near me in Chessington who can rebuild just about anything. He even rebuilt a three speed wiper motor from a 911 for me a while back with completely new windings.
if you have no luck finding anyone then take a picture of the motor and Ill see if he can do an with it.
