Salvage Hunters Classic Cars - 944 Tonight

Sure most people are already aware but the new series of Salvage Hunters Classic Cars has a 944 Lux on tonight’s episode - 21:00 on UK Quest. I’m probably being ignorant as the car may be one from this community that I missed a previous post on - sorry if so!

Cheers Chris

Thanks for the heads-up, would have missed it. Nice looking car, didn't know Fuchs were an option on the later cars. They covered the Range Rover that also featured in more detail, but it did throw up more of a challenge than the 944. I'd have kept the Rangie!

I was particularly interested when I realised it was a 2.7, since there aren’t many around, and it did look like a very tidy car - though you couldn’t see the sills etc! Nonetheless I thought they got a good final selling price for it - equally the seller for me let it go cheaply, considering what little they had to do to it.
I’m not sure Fuchs wheels were an option on the later cars - more knowledgable people than me (so most!) will soon tell us I’m sure, but I thought they were only on the earlier pre-‘86 facelift cars. I’ve got an original 2.7 brochure and the teledial’s in 15” were the standard wheel, with an option to upgrade to 16” D90’s like the S2.

And yes I’d have kept the Rangie as well - though I’d not have left that ratty tailgate - I don’t think Mr Pritchard and I would get on too well! ??

Wrong diameter for year. Wrong width for a 944 option. Wrong offset for a >87 series two. Comically ignorant 'knowledgeable' comment.

Notice how they hid the ridiculous fit by turning the wheels?
