This event starts in Glasgow city centre outside the City Chambers at 19.00 . Prior to that in George sq from 14.00 the cars will be on display that are doing the Classic Heritage run after the main Monte cars have left .
I have attended this event every year since 2010 and prior to that when the Monte used to leave from Blythwood Sq way back in the 60,s .This event is not the same size as the one held back in 2010 which virtually closed Glasgow city centre but a much scaled down event ,it has been started in Clydebank. Paisley .Glasgow Green over the last 10years .There are only around 12 cars that will be doing the long journey to MC ,the rest is for cars who do the Heritage run up to Luss, it is for cars up to early 70,s . If any one is interested in going along perhaps we could meet up early evening for a bite and a pint and see the event . if you Google you will find more info on the event .

Went through to see the cars in George Sq this afternoon and thought it was properly cr*p! Not all the cars were there to be fair, but i think not one of the cars going to MC were present. Apparently only two cars taking part. There were a few faux rally cars (all liveried up but not proper rally spec seats, extinguishers, cages, timing gear). Weather didn't help

In the end did not go as weather was atrocious in E-K and not much better later on ..I did say that only about 12 cars had booked to go the full trip ,the rest are just doing the classic run to Luss .The weather may have curtailed some of the cars turning up earlier as in previous years around 100 cars are at the start point .
