On Sunday March 15th we will be taking a fine country driving route out to Hughenden near High Wycombe to visit this National Trust property, once the home of Benjamin Disraeli.
The spring gardens will be in full bloom, and there’s plenty more to see when we get there. Please refer to the following links for much more information:
. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/hughenden & https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/hughenden/features/disraeli-loved-the-spring-flowers-at-hughenden.
As ever, National Trust members gain free entry on production of a valid membership card; non-member cost per person is £12.60 standard or £14.00 with Gift Aid.
(Subject to a recce of the route in due course), starting from the Super Sausage Cafe at 9.30am, we’ll pick up later starters/ more northerly members at the Silverstone Circuit Cafe entrance at 9.50am, before reaching the Claydon Estate ([link]https://www.claydonestate.co.uk)[/url] around 10.20am.
Here we can take coffee at the Phoenix Kitchen and/or have a brief look round the Courtyard before continuing our country route to arrive at Hughenden about an hour later.
Your time is then your own to explore, lunch and head home at your own pace.
Please indicate your attendance by replying to this thread, and in a separate email to mark.grimwood1@btinternet.com please advise whether you will start at the Super Sausage or Silverstone.
I look forward to seeing you on another grand day out in our Porsches.
Mark
