Need some help please. I need to buy 3 litres of gear box oil for a 2005 2.7 Boxster. I have rang the main dealer and they are saying it can only be bought in 20 litre drums at over £200. anyone suggest an aftermarket oil please and numbers.

£280 from them for a full kit. But I don’t need a full kit, I just need 3 litres. Anyone know what grade it is ? Or what dextron to use ??

Have you actually spoken to Opie Oils? They offer a wide range of ATFs in small quantities, so it's probably worth contacting them for advice.

By the way, I assume you realise that it's not just a case of draining and refilling the system? I seem to recall that the final fill has to be performed with the transmission up to temperature and also you need to run through the gears, so you need to run the car safely up on jacks.

Not sure if it uses the same Tip oil as the Cayenne but after some research when I did mine it seems the Porsche branded oil is Mobil 3309. You can buy litre bottles for around £12 each.
