Browsing the club shop tonight and saw Cotswold Rally 2020 tickets are available to buy. [:)]

Paid for mine straight away, gave my dad a call (he's 78) and asked him if he wants to be co-driver again as we had such a fantastic time at the 2019 Rally.

Car is tucked up in bed for winter (coming out on occasional days like yesterday)

We are all set guys - look forward to seeing you in May !!!!

Glad I saw the post! Had a great time last year with my eldest as navigator (12 at the time), he's already asked if we can do the rally again. Ticket all booked and looking forward to it!

Great stuff James - yes I was browsing the club shop and saw the tickets.

Rung my mum and my dad was fast asleep.
She said "Porsche Cotswold Rally" and he woke up and beckoned for the phone [:D]

Had such a good time last year, just dad and lad time - it was great.

My own son is nearly 18, and he is quite happy for Grandpa to sit in as navigator again.

I know for sure the event last year was one of the highlights of the year for my dad he enjoyed it so much.
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming - it was absolutely brilliant.

Just need to get a few Porsche Club goodies ordered for him to wear this time...

Tickets booked , really looking forward to this , missed last year. Lets hope the weather is good.
Ian.

Very disappointed I’ve been on the Cotswold rally evey year I’ve been a member 14 years, tickets always went on sale Late January, but went on sale in December so I’ve missed out, not even a email notification ??

It came as a big surprise to all of the Cotswold Region crew too. I suggest you let the Club office know of your disappointment since it's a Club event and they handle all the ticketing and publicity for the Cotswold Rally.

Sorry for any disappointment concerning obtaining tickets for the Cotswold Rally. A Mailchimp was distributed on December 19th advertising the event with a link to the booking page. It was fully subscribed within 5 days.
We do have a reserve list which will be reviewed in the next few weeks.

Many thanks for the update Richard. It seems the Rally as popular as ever.

And just for the record, the Cotswold Region route planners are currently working on the 2020 route and are aiming to undertake the first test drive early next month.

I’ve sent an email to the club to be put on the reserve list, but I didn't receive anything on the 19th regarding the rally.

Hi Alan, belated Happy New Year. Is it too early to be put on the Marshals list please?

Regards
Dave

Hi Dave

Alan B is no longer our RO since Sept 19 but still an active member of R31. Our new RO is Alan A. Nice and easy :)
Email him on r31@porscheclubgb.com with heading Cotswold Rally Marshall. Alan has a list and will let people know who is required

Graham

Hi,

It seems that some meets and drives are beginning to come back online after the Covid-enforced hiatus. Are there any plans to run the Cotswold Rally later this year or will it be pushed to 2021?

JK

Hi James

I very much doubt it the way events are so far and don't know if the venue is open or what social distancing issues they might have
Lets hope we can run it next year

James, Whilst R31 plan, test, document and marshal the route, the Cotswold Rally is administered by Club HQ who can provide more information. As Graham says, realistically it’s unlikely it’ll be run this year. All route testing and documenting work for the Rally ceased at the outset of the Lockdown and, in any case, any date would be subject to availability of and access to a suitable finish venue as well as obtaining route approval by Motorsport UK.

Thanks both... kind of what I was expecting (but with additional info). Much appreciated and fingers crossed that the Rally takes place next year.
