YCP PORSCHE LEEDS

Hi All,
My first time on here as a new member.
I have most likely have done this the wrong way around i.e. became a member whilst still looking for my first Porsche, but kind of made sense to me at the time!
Looking around for a 996 C4S , recently came across one with YCP Porsche in Leeds (I am based in Leicester) , in my limited search so far when it comes to specialists I must admit my knowledge is next to none, hence thought it could be worth asking if anyone knew of YCP in terms of good or bad dealings with to date.
As with anyone trying to make the best first choice of car I think it's worth doing as much homework as possible before making a decision on both vehicle and who to work with if I do purchase via a specialist seller.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Jas,

I'm a Yorkshire Region Member and have a 996 C4S which I bought 2 years ago from RPM Technik. Like yourself I looked long and hard to find the right one. Make sure it has a good service history and the IMS and RMS have been sorted. Can't say I've heard much about YCP. Happy hunting!

Thanks, good to hear from you.
It's not an easy search, and one I have most probably spent far too much time on, every spare 5 mins it feels like, but I think once you have the 'bug' you need to get it sorted!
Yep RP Technik seem to have a good reputation, another I'm looking at was purchased through them by it's current owner back in 2015 and they have maintained it since, so that's another possibility , the YCP one they approached me about last week, which I don't think currently has both the IMS and RMS done, just waiting to hear more on it.

I would advise looking on 911uk at reviews on YCP before dealing with them.

I apologise for my late response to your post. When I was more naive than I am now I bought a 996.2 Coupe from YCP. Judging by things I’ve heard since from reliable sources I think I was lucky although the car wasn’t as good as it was claimed to be and I paid too much. I urge you to read online reviews and have a pre purchase inspection carried out by a reputable independent e.g. Revolution Porsche, Birstall, RPM Knaresborough, Strasse, Leeds. It’s likely to be money very well spent.
