Hi Shanks,

Welcome on board.

I've never heard of your specific problem before. Try https://www.9apart.co.uk/ for a 2nd hand replacement and they will set it tou your current mileage before they despatch.

Got any pictures of your new toy, we love pictures [8D]

I would start by cleaning the connections on the back of the cluster,

Its an oval cluster s there should be 3 plugs, i would clean all the connections on those, then clean the two rugby ball shaped brass connectors while your there,

then take a good look at the connections on the gearbox sensor for the speedo,

low mileage normally infers low use, these cars don't like not being used

Thanks I reached out to 9apart, conveniently located near my hometown. So picked up a speedo whilst up for the Liverpool game this week.

Dropped off at Northway, ready to be picked up tomorrow.

I'll post up some pics soon as I get it back.

Thanks all, one working speedo and first semi (I need some new tyres all around) proper long drive from London to Manchester.
