Hi I am want to remove the plastic side mouldings, on my 981 Boxster. due to stone chips. These are the ones on both sides that cover the sills, and incorporate the air intakes. I am wanting to have them painted and ppf, the car is now sorn and in garage so good time to have them done. As anybody removed them tips would be appreciated. I have looked on utube with no luck, unless any body as a link. Any help would be welcome. Regards Glenn

Glen,

I'm not sure how easy it is to remove the panels you're describing but I presume that they're either steel or aluminium? Your body shop may well prefer to respray them on the car.

You can use this link to find the PET for your 981 Boxster. The body group is from Illustration: 801-000 onward and should give you an idea how everything is assembled. Illustration: 801-090 shows the side member and all the fasteners, most of which you'll probably need to replace after breaking them during disassembly..!

Good luck.!
