Air bag warning light

Wondering if someone else has or has had the same issue. The airbag warning light has come on permanently and have been looking on various sites to see what might have caused this. The only thing that sounds familiar from all that I have read is that I had a dead battery (yes I know, not using it enough!!) and whilst I cant recall exactly but think the light might have appeared after that episode. Is it a case of plugging to a diagnostics machine to read error code and resetting or is there anything else I could do / check.
Thanks in advance for any sugeestions.

I, like many of us with cars that don’t get used continuously, have had occasional battery outages. None of mine have led to airbag warning lights. But I guess the sensitivity electronics on an airbag might be susceptible to the exact way a battery goes down. I fear the error codes on 993 are not that detailed and you may only get a code that says what you already know.

Let us know what code you get, and as you suggest, a reset is always worth a try.
