992 Connect App

Could someone post a screenshot of their Connect App (and or the My Porsche website which shows your car) which shows their car in the 'My Car' section of a 992? I have had my Connect computer swapped and since that, I have just a generic car on the screen of the app (and website) instead of a reasonably accurate representation of my car i.e. showing colour, wheels, seat colour and sunroof. I am now complaining about it and the service manager seems to doubt me when I tell him that is how it used to look! Any help would be great, thanks.

Paul

Can't help - I have also lost the accurate representation of my car for a generic image (both on Connect app and My Porsche website). Also still having delays on trip data appearing in the app. I understand that the issues are being worked on.... It is annoying but I tell myself the good news is it does not take away from the driving experience!

Paul , I have had car since early June and it USED TO have the correct car , about 2 weeks ago that disappeared and I exactly as you describe.
What has not changed at all, is the abysmal lack of the trip system updating the records in connect or the myporsche portal. probably about 50/50 at best. I have an email chain on the matter , now from Porsche Germany asking for screen shots etc....acting like they never heard of this before.
Apart from that, and a couple of rattles in the car which I have yet to take in to get sorted .....the car has been epic ( epic in my little world anyway) so on balance i could care at all about stupid connected apps . I did note to P, that I am paying for this and they have not delivered so I expect resolution. sickening that same sort of system on my one year old Ford , costing 1/4 of this car ...absolutely everything including smart features functions perfectly and from day 1 to now.

Is this what you mean?........

While we are discussing Information systems on 992’s, I had this problem at the weekend.....

... We travelled to North Wales on Sunday for a weeks holiday at our lodge. The car ran perfectly until we were on the final 20 or so miles when an SOS message came up. I checked all instruments, cooling, oil, etc and drove slowly for a few miles, we were in the mountainous region just on the edge of Snowdonia, so no phone signal for SOS anyway. The car continued to drive well, no drop in engine performance, and no other warning.

Next day checked again and message still present on start up, car is still running ok, but I contact the OPC who supplied the car and they inform me at least two other customers had reported similar problems. They think it is a software glitch and expect Porsche to transmit a ‘fix’ to the car within the next few days.

Fingers crossed!

Hi David, yes that's what I was meaning. Does this look like your car? i.e. Black etc. My picture on the App is just generic picture whereas it used to show my car in crayon with glass roof etc.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks to everyone for their replies, really useful. At least I am not the only one having the issue with a 992. The dealer at Sheffield seems totally unaware of any such problems which I find hard to believe if they actually talked to Porsche GB... How have the dealers been in trying to sort everyone's software issues?

Hi Paul, Yes it is the exact spec of mine, Carrera Cabrio, Black with Grey/Crayon interior. It looks like the images created on the configuration websites.

Regards David

Just checked my app - my car picture seems to remain unchanged and is correct - trip data on my however has never been correct ??

You will find the trip data will update correctly to the app if you change to KMPH before leaving the car, This has been ongoing for 5 months, still not sorted.
