The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, is billed as an event not to be missed by any classic car owner, collector, enthusiast, car club member or anyone with a passion for classic cars.

This show brings together the world’s largest gathering of 300 car and motorcycle clubs with over 3,000 iconic classic and vintage cars and motorbikes on display across seven halls at Birmingham’s NEC, including our very own PCGB members area.

As well as admiring these amazing vehicles, you'll have the opportunity to shop from the UK’s largest indoor auto jumble and specialist traders to source parts and tools for your maintenance and restoration needs, drive or buy your very own classic car from the outstanding range of dealers, enjoy the spectacle of live auctions, talks from motoring celebrities, restoration demonstrations and much more.

Quite a few of us over the years have visited and enjoyed this show immensely and are already planning our return to this year's 35th anniversary event.

We intend to head down on the afternoon of Friday 8th and have booked to stay for 2 nights at the Greswolde arms, 1657 High St, Knowle, Solihull B93 0LL. This allows an early morning start and a full day on the Saturday and a chance to spend an evening in Knowle to enjoy their good pubs and restaurants. We usually pre-book the Indian restaurant opposite the hotel. If anyone would like to join us please let me know.

Please note on Sunday 10th the road outside the hotel normally closes from 10.00-1200 to allow the local Remembrance Day Parade to pass by, you can obviously leave prior to this road closure or like us why not stay a little later and pay your respects before heading home.
