996 turbo head light upgrade

Having returned from France on R10 WOTY (great event , good company , wonderful food) I was reminded of how bad the dipped headlights are on my 2002 Turbo.
Ha anyone any one any experience of this bulbs https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Bulbs-H7-LED-Cob-Headlight-Low-Beam-80W-White-6000K-Porsche-911-996-1997-2005-/173962326676

They are supposed to fit . Any suggestions or advise
regards
Mike

    Hi Mike ,

My 1998 C2 has the optional Litronic HID units which I am reasonably happy with , but it hasn't stopped me keeping an eye out for an LED conversion at some point. I came across this guy's blog site ( a 2004 C4S owner ) http://mapw.co.uk/996blog/2019/03/03/996-led-h7-headlight-bulb-upgrade/  and he looks to have done a sterling job of researching the best option and documenting the install with suitable pictures.Well worth a look..

    Regards , Paul.

    Hi Mike ,
If you haven't already found any , there are two more links within another article on the same blog site - https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/upgradebulbs  and https://www.powerbulbs.com/

Let me know if you manage to do the upgrade and the results.

    Regards , Paul.
