New event, September 29
Now that the AV8 Restaurant at Kemble airport has re-opened we are looking to meet there for breakfast and then pay a visit to XM496 Britannia a few hundred yards from the AV8.
XM496 ‘Regulus’ is the only complete example of an ex RAF Series 253 Britannia in the world today, they hold regular open days where you have complete access to the aircraft, admittance is free but your donations are kindly accepted by the volunteers and will help to keep the wonderful aircraft open for others.
We will need to know numbers to book tables at the AV8 so please reply ASAP.
Timings for the morning
10.00 – 11.30 at the AV8 followed by a short drive to the Britannia where we will park under and in front of the aircraft for a great photo opportunity then board Regulus for as long as you wish.

All of the above are on the list, thanks.
We actually have over 40 people on the list and as a result the AV8 will not be able to cope if everyone wants a breakfast.
Coffee/Tea and cake will be fine although there might be a bit of a Que.
All timings are the same.

Hopefully there will be a break in the weather for us today at Kemble.
Worm clothes required I think ????

As usual we had a great time at Kemble
Shame the weather put some people off but it didn’t actually stop us from doing anything as it was perfectly dry when we were outside.
Many thanks to everyone who joined in
