Evening all

My 1994 993 C2 has had a rather annoying suction/vacuum noise since I got it. Over the past month or so I’ve tightened (cable tied) all the vacuum lines, cleaned out the ISV, reseated and cleaned the MAF, tried it without the air box cover, tightened all the jubilee clips and I’m out of ideas!

Could anyone suggest what I try next?

As you can see it doesn’t happen in start up, only on blipping the throttle, it also happens when the throttle is held steady at 1800-2400ish rpm under load. It seems to happen immediately on the throttle moving so it could be the throttle body itself? The system appears to hold vacuum.

Thanks all in advance!

If anyone’s watching, it was all sorted after a throttle body rebuild. Whoever had last reconditioned it had helicoiled the throttle plate screw holes in the shaft (which is great) but re-used the original, and dethreaded screws (not so great).

New screws have tightened the whole thing up and stopped the majority of the whistling!

Not a problem. I'm sure I won't be the last to have this issue so hopefully this thread will help someone in the future!
