For a change this October, friendly region members Paul and Sue Leggett are very kindly arranging and hosting the ‘Drive Of The Month’, which starts from their house in Creaton, Northamptonshire.

They will provide a tulip route book on the day and send out further instructions to anyone who would like to come along. Places on this run need to be limited to 10 cars with one navigator/passenger.

Arrival at Paul and Sue’s house for 10.30am where tea and coffee will be available, then set off at your convenience to suit your own timings and meal arrangements along the way.

The 2 hour (approx) route runs to Rockingham, on to Uppingham and then back through Market Harborough.

Meet back at their house from 1pm onwards for more tea and coffee (Sue and Paul won't be doing the run so we will be at home all afternoon).

If you’d like to enjoy this tried and tested run together, please only contact Paul Leggett directly via his email - pleggetthome@btinternet.com - so he can send you further details… be quick and be there!

It would also be nice to know who’s taking part, by posting your intention on this thread too, please... enjoy the drive [8D]

Thanks so much to Paul and Sue Leggett Sue for taking this on.... I have a busy month ahead and couldn’t devote sufficient time myself to getting an October DOTM together.

If anyone else wants to have a go at organising a future DOTM, or has an idea for a good drive out, please let me know.

However, low numbers during winter months last year suggest that many people don’t like to venture out in their Porsches in the cold and wet!

As a consequence, I won’t be organising any more DOTMs this year.

Don't worry though, there’s still plenty in the R10 and National Calendars for the rest of the year if you need your regular Porsche fix!!!

I’ve sent my reply to Paul and Sue, and look forward to this last DOTM of 2019.

Cheers.
Mark

Andrew, please see the first post of this thread and contact directly via email if you’d like to take part in this [:)]

Email sent.
I’m new to the club and this will be my first meet, so I’m looking forward to it. If there‘s a place still available that is!

Hi Twigg,
Welcome to the club, I'd recommend you to come to the monthly meeting, next one on the 12th of October, If the weather is nice we stay out checking the cars and chatting and its very nice.

Last meeting Paul said there was still 6 places left if I remember right, so it should be ok.

See you all soon!

Manuel

Hi Twigg,
Yes, welcome to the club. I’ll be doing the drive out, and look forward to seeing you then, although I hope to meet you on 12th October if you can come.
Regards.

Hi Stiffy,

It was good to meet you last Saturday. I can‘t make it this Sunday now I am sorry to say, but it’s great to see you getting involved. Enjoy the drive out!

Still two places left for Sunday. Places are limited to ten because of parking at the set off from our place. If there is anyone else interested please let me know and I will send joining instructions before Saturday evening. I won't be handling enquiries on Sunday morning.

See everyone who has registered so far on Sunday. The weather forecast says it will be dry.
