Macan GTS consumption

Bought my Macan GTS back May 2017, it was 8 months old with 3k on the clock. Here we are and the car is coming up to 3 years old and 58k. In that time it’s been faultless, gone through 1.5 sets of tyres (the recent rears due to a nail so changed them both), pads and discs all round and a couple of services. However what has really impressed is the fuel consumption, not something that is at the top of the list when choosing the car, but heyho. On average, on a mostly motorway run 30 mpg isn’t unusual. The picture below shows a recent "plod” to Heathrow along the M4. Average over the almost 100 mile journey of 34.6 ..... not bad. Anyone better that over a 100 miles?

Picked up my new (to me) GTS yesterday in Derby and only managed 28mpg driving back to Scotland. Hoped it might be better with gentle driving (28k miles on the clock). It replaced an RS4 that averaged under 22mpg in its lifetime though managed almost 30 on the trip south

My Macan S Gen2 returns just over 30mpg on a regular 65mile trip of mixed motorway /A roads. Not bad as my 987 2.9 Boxster only does 32-33 on the same journey. 15-18 mpg around Edinburgh centre, not so good. 2000 miles on the clock so should get better.
