They are going out - I have received a letter from Porsche GB this week. It describes problem but indicates awaiting parts for now. Advice is to ensure you apply parking brake in case selector does not go into "P” correctly.
In practice it seems a limited number of parts have already been released - Swindon sorting my panny later in month.

Strangely I could also find no reference to the recall on the dvla tool or on the Porsche recall search tool despite receiving a letter so unclear how many uk cars affected. A bit odd.

Morning Stephen

I have not received the letter yet for my Penny. It has been in the A/C recall and has had a temp fix done. Could you possibly put up a copy of your letter for the Parking recall on here.

Thanks.

Hopefully, here's the gist of the letter I received attached regards Cayenne/Panamera recall.

The rest (not shown here) refers to it being a mandatory recall being monitored by DVSA and to update Porsche Customer assistance centre if no longer owner/keeper to help them trace the latest owner etc.
Doesn't help you with which vehicles are specifically affected unfortunately - that's one for the Porsche recall search tool or OPC if no joy.

All,

Interesting wording in the preamble of the letter, considering the post on this forum about camshaft controller failures!

Neil

AFAIK it’s only for PDK boxes. I have a diesel Panny, non PDK and Porsche GB confirmed that this was not in recall.

received a recall letter today from Porsche UK. Subject "fastening screws for the camshaft controller". They quote "approximately 7 hours" of labour

I had a recall in December on 2019 Cayenne for brake warning light, 2 other minor electronic issues also remedied which were part of the recall. Wash and clean ay OPC Guildford in 2 hours.
Also discovered that earlier 2019 models (Mine) do not have have latest USB ports in centre console and therefore Apple Car play when in use uses ? of the screen and the other third is redundant. More recent models can Bluetooth ACP and unused portion of the screen can be used for other features.
Happy motoring in 2020
