Help please with road noise...

Hello members..
So, bought recently a wonderful 970 Turbo S. However a previous owner had replaced the wheels with (nice) but non gen 21" wheels/tyres. I'm keen for a Porsche warranty but obviously need genuine 20" with N rated tyres. So, came across a brand new (old stock) Turbo 2 wheels with unused Michelin Pilot Sport N0 fitted. Happy days... I've completed a round trip of 400 miles and the road noise was truly awful. My suspicion is that as the tyres have become hard as they are dated 2014. Although new, they were never fitted to any car, just kept at a dealer somewhere and eventually sold as old/new stock. Has anyone experienced excessive road noise or have an opinion on the tyres? I only drove 500ish miles on the old non gen wheels/tyres and don't recall any noise problems. I also had Porsche do a full 111 check on the car before purchase (it was bought from a specialist) which apart from the 'incorrect non gen / tyre combination failure' the car passed with no issues. Thanks in advance for any thoughts..Oh and if you have any suggestions on the quietest N rated tyres for a Panamera, it would be appreciated.
