I’m delighted to announce that South Yorkshire member, Kevin Nunn, whom some of you know, has kindly offered to display a small part of his extensive collection of diecast models of Porsches for members to view and ask any questions they may have. The theme on this occasion will be Porsche race cars, however, if there is any particular model you would like to see, maybe a model of the Porsche you own, please post the model, year and colour on this thread and if Kevin has it in his collection he will bring it along. If Kevin doesn’t have that model he will I’m sure, consult his catalogues to identify if there was a diecast model produced in ‘your’ colour combination, who manufactured it and where to search. Incidentally I’d like to buy a 944 S2 Coupe diecast model should anyone have one they’re willing to sell.

Kevin will have a few 1/18 scale models for sale and some other interesting Porsche brand items also for sale at very fair prices. Any payment must be in cash or cheque only please so come prepared in case anything takes your fancy.

Please make a note in your diary, 14th August, The Red Lion, Todwick S26 1DJ 8.00pm.

Roger

Hi

Just to let you know reference the Year of Porsche, Colour & Model is that of say the 991 range that was built for 4 to 5 years & for me I only tend to buy one model of say Carrera or the Carrera S but I will also buy the Cab vision too but must of my Models I buy are Porsche Dealership issue models over Brands Models - like Minichamps, Sparks or other model brands available in 1/43 scale format & the dealership car tend to be on colour which sale worldwide like the launch 991 GT3RS in Lizard Green, but also must models are left hand drive over Right so please bear that in mind too.

As for Rogers request for a 944 S2 - Minichamps do a Red vision but his car is White & NZG do a white one but these are rare to find & the closest one I have in my collection is a 4 model set called the Front Engine set which includes 924, 944, 968 & 928 & these sets tend to go for about £100 if you can fine one but I do have a Police vision 944 but it has lights upon the roof so Roger mayn't be interested in that vision 1/43 scale model at about £45.

I hope this information is of some help & I truly look forward to see you upon the Wednesday 14th August & if you like GT1's like I do then I will be bringing all my GT1 racing cars I have in my collection & these models are made by Minichamps models of Germany & upon the night if you have any questions then please ask as I 3 history brochures from Minichamps which list all models made & I have been collecting Porsche models since the Porsche Dealerships starting sale models to there customers of nearly 30 years or more.

Enclosed is a resent display that I did for Porsche Centre Sheffield in June at there Porsche Sportscar Together days event so you can see what I duly collect & must of these models are maybe still available at your Local Porsche Dealerships parts department at Sheffield or Leeds.

Tonight’s the night for Kevin’s display of diecast Porsche race cars at the South Yorkshire Club Night At The Red Lion, Todwick (A57 Worksop direction about 2 miles from M1 junction 31) We hope to see some of you there.
Roger
