Car Key remote won't open front luggage

Just became a happy owner of a 997.2 C4S (2010).

So far no issues aside from the car key remote. It has a button that I believe should release the front luggage door but nothing happens when I press it.
Any ideas of what's wrong and how to fix it?
I bought it from a dealer a couple weeks ago - can I go back to them and ask them to fix it or is it a "buyer beware" fault?

Separate question, is the driver's manual available in PDF anywhere (I have the original of course, but would like to have it on my phone/computer as well) ? Haven't been able to find it (apart from a Chinese version, but that won't help me).

Thank you all

There's a built-in delay on remote opening of the boot lid on 997 to prevent accidental operation.
Have you tried keeping the button pressed for several seconds?
Just a thought. [;)]

In fairness, I seem to remember it was an update on earlier 997 models because many (including me) complained the lock was far too sensitive and susceptible to unintended unlocking. So this may not have been included in earlier versions of owner's manual.
