Jaz Porsche St Albans engine rebuilds

Hi all,

I'm looking at 997 C4s that has had an engine rebuild by Jaz Porsche a few years ago. After some research and liasing with the owner, he's under the impression that Jaz send the engines to Hartech for the rebuild? Does anyone have any knowledge of if this is true or if the rebuilds are done in-house at Jaz.

I'm also keen to hear from anyone who's had a rebuild from Jaz and what the quality of their work is like etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Terence,

Sorry I can't answer your question directly but I've visited Jaz and can confirm that they have a dedicated engine rebuild area in their workshop and that they are a long-established and reputable Porsche Independent specialist.

I can only suggest that you contact them directly and ask if all the engine rebuild work is done in-house.

Jeff

Hi Terence
Steve Winter who owns JAZ is our Boxster register technical guy. He does carry out engine rebuilds but I am sure that if you contact him he will be happy to discuss it with you. He is a thoroughly nice guy.

Also if you get the engine number hartech will be able to confirm if it's been to them for the rebuild. Grant is super helpful...

Hi Tracey,

I'm more interested in where the machine tooling is done, as I know Harlech do all on site.

Regards.
