Cambox clean up / Paint

Time for a cooler / less aesthetic solution, my Powdercoated cambox always had a lot on it and now the car is being stressed so much more
in competition I'm replacing a few things with unpainted versions to rid the heat better....

However I couldn't just leave it totally without a mark of detail, so some VHT red found it's way on a small section!

That looks nice.
I don't agree with the rationale but I agree with the result.

The original blue / red version was powdercoated 3 times !

A recent test from a German paint supplier revealed my coatings are 3 times thicker
than the OE recommended coverage thickness on wheels (120 microns).

There's so much more heat in competition use the paint is starting to break down and bubble..

The fully enclosed front / splitter / flat floor has also raised the temps significantly (all for aero gains) so as well as the Cam box being changed
as also is the radiator (Previously painted) and a external 25 row Oil Cooler fitted too.

Even the fuel rail (that's painted) has started to loosen with heat, so i've a bare one to fit also...

It's now running with evans Waterless Coolant (180 degrees boiling point) , the rev limiter has been increased 500rpm, and the engine is now mostly in the 4000-6800rpm range for lap after lap and for 2 hour endurance races so it's very hard on the motor & car and all these measures are required for reliability.
