Hi all, I’ve been the owner of a 2005 997.1 80k, for around 2-3 months. I’ve become aware of a Knock from the front end when hitting bumps (more noticeable at low speed) I’ve currently got it up on the lift at the moment and having removed all covers can’t see anything that stands out! Although there is a very small amount of play vertically in the front left and I can feel there’s an amount of knock at fall lock if I bounce on the limit of lock side to side! Anyone knowledgeable can give me some guidance much appreciated! Lee. In addition this week front left corner creeks (noticeable when I pull up and get out, sounds like the suspension is taking time to settle)!

Hi,

I had a similar problem.

It was caused by the droplinks.

These are fairly easy to replace and solved the problem.

Hello Lee,

You might get more responce in the 997 section, but yes could well be droplinks.
