Hi
Has anyone been shopping recently for new 993 tyres please?
Looking at Summer-only use, 18” rims - 225/40 ZR18 + 265/35 ZR18.
The very limited Porsche N list (much discussed and linked on another posting) is mostly unobtainable here in the UK it seems - from my internet trawling + phone calls anyhow - BlackCircles, ATS.
For example, after reading good reports I spent ages trying to find ContiSport 2’s, but with no success.
Note: Whilst a website may show the tyre in the required size is available ...... a phone call reveals that in fact they are not!!!
A phone call to my insurer (classic line) yesterday, and they said they are aware of the problem and simply asked for an email after fitting stating the lack of availability of the official N list and confirm to them what I have had fitted.
Any input to this would be appreciated, particularly if anyone has had current (2018/19) spec tyres fitted.
My favourite (if sizes available - cannot check until Monday via Michelin!!!) are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Any thoughts please?
Many thanks,
Ben
