My neighbour has a 2 owner, 7,500 miles ( !! ) 2010 Boxster Spyder. He's not a confident internet user & asked for help to sell the car as he's had it for quite a few years and it's getting even less use than previous years. He says going in for MOTs is now embarrassing - lol.
The car is absolutely immaculate as you'd expect of a car with only 7,500 miles in 9 years & has full dealer service history with a big chunk of Porsche Extended Warranty remaining.

He's going to have a word with the local OPC to see whether they're interested in what is a fairly unique car, but expects that they're unlikely to be offering the best price
Where do members think is the best place to advertise it, bearing in mind he'd like to avoid the potential tyre kicking, time wasters, the ad could generate on some sites.

Pistonheads & Autotrader are the well known options, what other choices are there for what is a fairly specialist vehicle at a price beyond the typical second hand car ?

I'd try it initially on the PCGB cars for sale section. There may be a member interested. The OPC will probably want to make a cheeky offer but then again, they will have to sell it with a two year warranty.

+1 for the PCGB site Paul for starters - maybe it's permissable for you to advertise it there on his behalf?

Other than that, Autotrader followed by Pistonheads are probably your best bets (in that order) for national coverage even though they'll probably attract some unwanted attention.

Some reputable Porsche Independents such as RPM Technik and JZM Porsche offer SOR or you could try a Porsche sales specialist like 911Virgin.

I would try Pistonheads as not so well known outside the sports car community. The value of the car should put off tyre kickers you can also put a no offers if you set a reasonable price which again will help put of the tyre kickers.
You can also try your local specialists you should find one who will do it for around a 5% commission (remember they will pay vat on the gross and for a warranty) and the price they can get above a private sale °will be about the cost of the commission without the hassle.
If your in the Thames valley area then try Northways give my name.
If your in or near Yorkshire you need to PM

Whereabouts in the country?

I’d suggest finding a friendly dealer to sell it on sale or return if your friend isn’t experienced at selling cars. Plus they can offer Finance. Might be able to find a buyer privately but gets harder with more expensive cars

Might be helpful if you can put more spec info .
Manual or PDK, Seats buckets or sports, price etc that sort of thing. [;)] [:D]

All, thanks for the inputs.
pms have all been responded to hopefully & advert is being prepared.
We'll see what interest it generates.
Thanks again.

If you cant find someone on here suggest you go with 911 Virgin with a SOR deal.

I reckon Virgin have sold more 2nd hand spyders than anyone else
