brake warning light faulty?

Hi
Hope someone can help. The brake warning light came on the dash (957 4.8S) a few days ago, recent pads front and back inside the last 18 months and about 10K miles so pretty sure it wasn't worn pads. Just had 2 hours at a local specialist and they report no fault codes and no brake issues but as soon as reset the warning comes back, so seems like some sort of electrical gremlin. As its not causing a problem (other than making it harder to see if another fault comes up) didn't want to invest anymore in trying to track it down as next MOT (apparently it's a failure with warning light on) not due until January and hoping(?) something else comes up which might point in the right direction. Anyone else experienced a similar problem / have any insight as to where to look next.

Have a look at the electric connection on each pad.Could be dust.I had the
problem on mine a year or two ago when replacing pads .

Hi
Latest update is that the warning light disappeared after about 10 days, came back for a couple of days about a month later and has now disappeared again; so obviously something very intermittent. Had new front tyres between two of the episodes but having the wheels off didn't trigger the change.

Just hope it stays away (and I haven't just summoned it back writing this)

on my 2005 995 if a warning is triggered ie brake pads or low oil it stays on,there is a software fault on the instruments that retains the fault,if I pull fuse 40(for the instruments) on the left hand side fuse box on the end of the dash the fault is deleted.Possibly the same for the 957?
