roof bars and box

Hi there

Does anyone know if it's possible to fit roof bars and a box onto a 997.1?

I can see that it is for a Gen 2 but not sure about a Gen 1.

Planning on having a second child and being able to fit a roof box is my only hope in persuading the wife to keep the 911 over a typically more "practical" vehicle!

Hi There,
This post brought a smile to my face as I have a Gen 1 997 too, and it's my daily driver and family car! If you have the fitting extra in the roof of the car for a roof rack (mine has it as an optional extra), then you can. I understand that you can only use the Porsche roof rack accessories. I've not put one on but yes possible if your car has the fitting slots.
