996c4 cabrio engine squeak

Hi, need a little help on my 996c4 cabriolet.
When running at a normal temperature and idling I have a squeak from the OSR wheel area; does not come from the engine compartment as I have removed the air box and checked belt etc. The car runs fine and has no leakage of any fluids. The sound is like a valve operating, like a vacuum problem. Are there any components under the soft top I can check? Not sure if I should be looking for a loose spark plug even.
Thanks for any help
Keith

A loose spark plug makes a 'chirping' sound.  It is more common than you might expect.
