My 2019 UK tour (was - Just going to the shop, back soon....)

Saturday 4th May, just popping out to the shop......

Actually we went a bit further than the local shop.

Just to add some context to the following posts/photos I posted this is the route we followed - more or less anyway, I initially planned it on Google maps and then re-created it with TomTom MyDrive so that I could use it on my standalone TomTom device. We also made a few changes en-route such as visiting Housesteads Roman Fort, crossing the Forth road bridge and stopping for a cuppa in the cafe at Knockhill race circuit, so the routes below may not be exactly correct but they'll certainy give you an idea.

A rainy day today on Lindisfarne, luckily the tide was favourable allowing me to drive the Cayman across the causeway...

I'm pleased to see you aren't one of the people who bought a Porsche and kept it unused, in the garage. Good work.

Nice one Andrew.

After your Lindisfarne causeway run you'll need to make sure you give your CS's underside a good washdown...!

Jeff

Jeff, luckily it was raining that day so the car got a good wash underneath.

I still haven’t reached that shop yet...

I reached the shop, and guess who I found there, non other than our own BJ Innes of 718 Cayman GTS fame...

It seemed a shame to go home after reaching the shop yesterday so we pressed on until we ran out of road (well we’ve only done 1456 miles getting here)...
