Took my roof out!

Tizzy

so taking advantage of the wonderful weather, i decided to remove my sunroof panel. I didn’t have high expectations expecting it to be really Buffeting like many sunroofs are. Very pleasantly surprised to find that in fact it was really good up to 60ish with the wind deflector working quite effectively and no buffeting in the cabin. Shame it’s not the quickest thing to take on and off otherwise I’d definitely use it more!

Yes I love the roof off on our cars , not far from being a convertible if you look. I used to do it allot many years ago before I had kids in my non turbo, havnt done it for about 6 years now.
Hopefully this summer ??

Had my roof off too....no need for a cab with these cars....I do love to sound of my car with the roof off...guggles on over run loud enough for people to hear it at a distance...as for the dump valve whoosh and wastegate chatter...well that can be heard ar a fair distance...:)

I don't have a sun roof, I have to open both windows a quarter to hear all my favourite noises!!

I take the roof out fairly often . It changes the character of the car. Nearly as good as a convertible. I also drive nearly everywhere with the roof open at the back as I love the fact that it vents the car really well without adding any noise

Yes me too, even better with the Saratoga for light

Just don't bother trying to put it into the storage bag, if you have one! I tried that once with my 968 coupe, it was such a tight fit and pfaff I did not bother after that, just kept a soft rug in the boot for it to lay on when I took it out.

The other thing I found was that getting it out was easy single handed, but getting it back in was a lot easier if you had a second pair of hands on the other side of the car.

Then I found the really easy way - I swopped the 968 coupe for a cab!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Actually did use the bag, and mine must have stretched with age as it fitted quite easily. Having just had a full respray I am a bit paranoid about scratching the shiny panel! It’s certainly heavy to manhandle though, even though it‘s some sort of hard plastic as opposed to steel.
