Hello!

I've just returned to sportscar ownership after 10 years out of the game and gone for a Gen 1 986S in Speed Yellow. I've had Robin @ AutoUmbau give her a good going over (full service, alternator, coolant, disks & pads etc) and so am already a few quid lighter as a result, but have already clocked up more miles in the month I've had her than the last 2 years of ownership by the previous incumbent. I've got to say it's huge amount of fun to drive and am a very happy chap. There are a few things I'd like to adjust / fix though.....:

1. Keys - the fobs are buggered, has anyone used any of the ebay retailers who claim to refurb??
2. head unit - I've got the autochanger and the head unit with a tape deck & sim slot the size of a credit card. I've heard the cables are optical - so difficult to change. However, any help/advice available on an OEM replacement (thinking 996)?

Thanks all

D.

You've not identified which type, but first port of call is always Hamilton and Palmer for the older fobs and keys.
