Is Porsche waking up to the speculation problem at last?

There is going to be a serious shortage of Taycans so watch that space if getting plugged in is your thing.
Why is that, Bob? Thought I read somewhere they had already decided to double production numbers?

When I was last in Finland spent a lot of time with one of the main development drivers for the Taycan. He told me that the car was fantastic and was likley to be very popular and will change the perception of electric cars but initial production was going to be limited to 25k cars for the worldwide market which is not much given likely demand. I have seen that figure confirmed in an article recently. I also read that Porsche UK have already had a lot of pre orders for the car. Apparently Porsche will gear up production as demand increases but initial capacity will be limited so if demand is strong waiting list will be long

At the 992 launch last night it was mentioned they had orders of over 20K already..
They didn't go on to say whether that was world wide or UK.

Nice timing as the BMW I8 production comes to an end..
