New Monthly Meeting Venue

Further to the issues discussed at the last monthly meeting I am pleased to announce that R22 now has a new home for the foreseeable future.

Our Monthly meeting will still be held on the first Tuesday of each month starting at 7.45pm and the new venue is The North Lakes Hotel & Spa, just off the roundabout at Junction 40 of the M6. This is one junction closer for those travelling from the South of the county. The Full address for the hotel is The North Lakes Hotel & Spa, Ullswater Road, Penrith, CA11 8QT.

The 4 Star hotel is in a great location with plenty of car parking at the front and our function room is close to the reception area in the Voreda Suite. There is an excellent restaurant and bar for those wishing to enjoy food or drinks beforehand and we are looking forward to doing other events at the hotel including a Christmas Party in December, Sunday lunch & drives and potentially a Spa Day for those that wish to relax and unwind.

We are going to be having a fun quiz at the April meeting so I hope to see plenty of you there as the prizes on offer are definitely worth winning and have kindly been donated by Porsche Kendal and Chemical Guys UK.

If you have any questions then please get in touch.

Great restaurant, unfortunately won’t beable to make it to the meeting in April as im working that night.

A great first night at our new home venue with 35 Members in attendance. Also great to see some new faces and a warm welcome to Cowan Scott, Allan Wilson Snr & Allan Wilson Jnr who travelled down from Dumfriesshire for their first of hopefully many Club nights.

We had a 'light hearted' quiz but I think a few Members were left scratching their heads with some of the questions and puzzles :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

With all quizzes there has to be winners and losers so here are the results....

First Place : Roy and Margaret Parker took the honours with a very creditable score of 33 and their prize is an afternoon tea kindly provided by Sally & Mark from Sally's Warwick Bridge

The Runners up places were tightly contested with 3 Teams all on 30 points and it had to be decided with a sudden death question with Freda & Dale Lodge coming closest, winning the Chemical Guys car detailing kit kindly provided by Chemical Guys UK with Andrew Wilson coming Third also winning a Chemical Guys car cleaning kit provided by Chemical Guys UK.

Fourth prize was a Porsche Lanyard Keyring won by Mark & Sally Langstaff provided by Porsche Centre Kendal

There was also a wooden spoon prize for the lowest score which was won by Kevin Dodd (but I won’t mention his score ) that was provided by Porsche Centre Kendal

Thank you to everyone who attended at our new venue and we hope you had a good evening [:)]
