IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
An ITU World Triathlon event is taking place in Leeds on Sunday 9th and there will be road closures and congestion in a large part of the city. Please avoid Leeds altogether. If travelling from the south or east I recommend using M1 A1M to Wetherby J45 A168 then A661 towards Harrogate, A658 then follow your satnav or map. Alternatively continue north on A1M J47 to A59 through Harrogate then left on B6161 to Beckwithshaw.

If travelling from the West I recommend approaching via Yeadon, Leeds Bradford Airport or Otley to Pool-in-Wharfedale, A658 in the direction of Harrogate for a short distance then left on B6161 to Beckwithshaw.
The Smiths Arms HG1 3QW will open for us at 9.30 and will serve bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee which individuals must pay for since the event is free to enter.
Cars will be released in small groups to avoid convoys which are not suited to roads in the Dales, between 10.30 and 11.00. People with long distances to travel home may be amongst the first to leave if they wish.
Please ensure that you have sufficient fuel for the approximately 100 mile tour since fuel stations are few and far between along the route.

The run will end at MacKenzies Yorkshire Smokehouse, Blubberhouses LS21 2PQ where an area for parking for Porsches will be reserved. Meals for the 50 with places in the upstairs dining room will be served from 2.30 until 3.30ish so please try not to be late. Those not dining with the fortunate fifty can eat in the cafe/restaurant which stops serving hot food at 3.30 and closes at 4.30. You can of course take however long you like for the tour but you may be too late to eat. There are no time restrictions on the actual tour.

Please share photos taken on the run for display in the forum gallery and our Facebook page etc.

Should you have any questions you can contact me either on here, by email, text or mobile.

The North West 100, now into its 3rd year is a touring style event of around 100 miles through some of the delightful Yorkshire Dales scenery, following a route by means of simple to understand Tulip Rally Style instructions. The event which has received enthusiastic comments in previous years will start at The Smiths Arms, Beckwithshaw near Harrogate, the home of our northern club night. Doors will open at 09.30 when tea, coffee and bacon or vegan butties will be available. Cars will start in small groups from 10.30. Due to the number of people wishing to eat at the end it has been necessary to move the finish venue to MacKenzies Smoke House near Blubberhouses, where the 50 seat restaurant has been booked. It will be essential to pre-order meals from the menu which will be linked here soon.

The event will be run under a Motorsport U.K. Certificate of Exemption Permit No. 113084.
This is a touring event and there is no competitive element, no time restrictions other than the start time and drivers are free to deviate from the route, without penalty. Odometer readings will not be recorded and there are no prizes. It’s a relaxed day to enjoy the scenery and great roads in the company of like minded Porsche people.

The event is free to enter, however, entries are required in advance so we know how many road books to produce and staff at the pub know how many to cater for. The closing date for entries is 31st May 2019. All PCGB members are welcome irrespective of the region they‘re allocated to.
