For those looking to upgrade (Go Digital) their music system but keep that authentic look, how about one if these:

Yes mine is installed and works well. Haven’t work out how to pair with phone yet. It has a stick on Bluetooth aeriel which I didn’t reckon on which is now on windscreen above mirror!

Ok, I've had it installed for a while now, initially I had problems with interference with Both FM and DAB radio.

This turned out to the the USB charger I had plugged into the cigarette lighter to power my TomTom (I was using a double slot USB I purchased). Some of these chargers give out high FR noise which interfere with the radio signals. A change of USB to TomTom original one as all is well.

Sound quality is very good, easy to use and looks in keeping with the age of the car.

Great news for fitting a modern replacement. I don't use the radio much, it's so good to have a recommended modern replacement. I think we would struggle getting a quality sound reproduction as the speakers seem to be past their best even using the original equipment radio/cassette we have. Any suggestions for sympathetic speaker replacements front and back so fitting the SQR 46 can be fully appreciated? Steve

I went with JBL's, speakers - JBL GTO 6429 & 609C.
This set were a straight swap and did both fronts (main and tweeter inclusive of crossover) and rears.

Sound is good and audible against my twin outlet SSI's

Hi

so mine just arrived this morning so currently taking out the pioneer unit along with fathoming the wiring which is not easy to follow. It had a remote under seat changer so unpicking that also.

...... update , now fitted just working out all the functions now, can you stream music from my iPhone via Bluetooth? Have it working with phone function but only managed to play music with the usb lead.

thanks
David
