The guys and girls from R22 Have asked if any R3 members would like to join them at the 8th Cumbria International Motor Show. This will be held at the Westmorland Showground, Crooklands, Milnthorpe, LA7 7NH on Sunday 19th May. Entry is FREE but you MUST pre-register, to gain entry to the event showground or you will have to park in the main car park.

There will be donation buckets for the Great North Air Ambulance on the gates and around the showground which the show organisers hope we will all show support for rather than charging an entry fee this year.

R22 & PCGB will be supported once again by the Porsche Centre Kendal team, 9Apart, Road and Race Restorations Ltd (Porsche recommended bodyshop), the PCGB Club Shop and new for this year Autoworks Paint Shop (Carlisle).

Always a good day out with lots of other marques and models to enjoy along with live music and great food stalls.

Book here if you would like to be included as part of the PCGB display. Please include Porsche Club GB in the comment section when you register.

Nearer the time we will be organising two meeting points (North A69 & South A66) should anyone wish to join up with other members for the scenic drive over.

Done ! Place booked on PCGB stand....this is a great show with many PCGB cars attending, several hundred last year, and plenty of other exotics to look at...

Time is running out for booking this, if you would like to join us and many other PCGB members once again at the excellent Cumbria Motor Show you will need to act fast.

Will be there but coming from the Manchester direction so will see if I can RV with you nearby 👍

Hi

I will head across for this event, hopefully the weather will stay decent!

Are there details of the convoys yet? Either A69 or A66 work for myself.

I will be meeting Graeme O' at the Cross Lanes Organic Farm Shop on the A66 around 08.15am.

Leaving 08.30am PROMPT to get to the show by 09.30am. (Note organisers comments about getting in before 10.00am or be sent to the public car park)

All south of the region welcome to join for a run over the A66.

cheers

John

For those heading from the North of the Region, meet at Hexham BP Services NE46 4DL for 7.45am.

We will be leaving at 8.00am prompt as discussed on Club night.

I know it is an early start but we have hopefully allowed enough time to head via the scenic Hartside route depending on numbers and weather.

Please note you must be pre-registered to park on the PCGB stand.

Hi

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling plans would have been discussed at the Club night, apologies I missed it, haven't managed to get attending to fit with work schedule yet.

Myself and a friend in my Cayman will meet you at Hexham. Good plan for a scenic route!

We will just park in the main car park at the event. No worries if we are there before opening, we'll grab a coffee somewhere instead.

Thanks, Phil

Hi John,

Please don't wait for me if I'm not there on time in the morning. Although I pre-registered in February, I realized this morning that I do not have an actual pass - and they say they won't let you in without one.

They are supposed to be sending one but it's not arrived yet!

Gordon.

Myself and Mike would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended our Regional Show today at the Westmorland Showground.

Without all of you and the fantastic support of Porsche Kendal, Road and Race Restorations and Chris and Maxine from Porsche Club GB who all kindly gave up their time we would not have had a show of the highest quality and variety.

I hope each and every one of you had a great day and we look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

Apologies for the Yellow Fiat parked on the display area :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Had a great time at the Crosslands Motor show today - really interesting variety of cars and meeting old and new friends always a delight. Yet again learnt a lot about my Porsche thanks to other members with some useful contacts for the future.

Thanks to organisers for a great day and for choosing the weather.

Enjoyed the drive over from Hexham with everyone this morning and a terrific run back at the end of the day - Nice leading Greg (when I could see you). . .had a big white cliff in front of me blocking my view - spent most of my time driving on the wrong side of the road trying to see past it 😂. (But my god the earth moved when you used that engine Randall - incredible 😮 - beautiful noise too 👍).

Not a bad way to spend the day 😊 - magic!

Thanks all.
