944 S2 front number plate holder - how to fit?

My front number plate has been stuck on with double sided tape, but it keeps coming off.
It's left a real mess of tape, so i'm thinking about going with an official number plate bracket but am not sure how they are attached.

From the Porsche parts diagram, it looks like you need a washer and bolt on the back of the bumper. Does that mean you need to remove the bumper to be able to fit it?

I have a set of number plate surrounds that I got from a member on here a while back. I mounted the front one with self tappers into the PU and have had no issues. Failing that you could simply mount the plate alone with self tappers which would be preferential imo to a large sticker.

Thanks all.
I bought a number plate holder and fixed it to the bumper with some self tappers
once i got the tape off the bumper, there were holes there already. (Sticky stuff remover was brilliant for removing it).
Looks great now.
Would post a pic, but it’s a dont w to sign up for a free hosting site for that!

Mine are all held on with the normal sticky pads.... I did lose the front one once during my 20 years. I had wondered why a police car gave me a funny look as it passed in front of me while I was at a set of lights, it was only when home much later that I discovered the missing plate. It's funny as the police just don't bother me in my car...:)
