Cans of spray paint

Any suggestions on where to buy a can of spray paint (guards red)? Tried local porsche dealer and they dont do it. Lots on ebay though all brands i havent heard of so not sure about them. I just need a can to touch up a small patch on the bumper and possibly wheel arches. I did see type911 sell it but you end up paying £9 postage so that takes 1 can up to £33.

Thanks
Stephen

Wilkinsons do a red aerosol enamel spray which very nearly Guards Red which is cheap enough to do wheel arches-under bonnet areas & possibly an initial cover coat over a primer for your touch in bits -saving on a more expensive matched Guards Red that you might have to order from an OPC.
You could then get away with a couple of light coats of the latter to get a good match.
In Liverpool & locally we have an Autospray outlet that mixes aerosols to match your colour code or even the actual car if you go in it-they also do cans if you've got a spray gun/ compressor or airbrush
Solid colour is easy but best to take car if metallics etc.

Hey Colin, I googled for an Autospray in my area but there are quite a few different Autospray named companies - all doing different or their own thing (not part of a chain). What's their web url or contact details? I am assuming that if I take in the proper Porsche paint code they should be able to mix and match it (that's what they all do).

Thanks they have the paint, £12 delivery though on £23 can of paint :(

might need to order some more goodies to make it worth buying.

Marcus-looks like the 1st link does the job-I think I gave the wrong name (old age being my defence[&o])
Actually I think it's called Autopaint but as I know the outfit,I just drive to it -I don't order online. But they seem to have a colour expert who comes out & looks at the car, checks the colour code label, sometimes consults reference manuals & seems to know when different brands of paint can produce a better colour rendition.

I was hoping to infer that other areas of the country would have similar outfits.Glad to receive your comment[:)]

Buy the ebay Paints 4 u one, they are spot on and great quality (and price)

There isnt an official one? The Porscheshop one is just made up by a local factor as they all are really! (hopefully those reviews have made you mind up though!)

Ah, understood Colin, cheers. I live a few miles from RPM Technik and I know the body shop they use for restos and other bodywork. I'll give them a bell.

If you live in the Midlands, Jawel have always served me well. Go in with the colour code and they mix it there and put it in a spray can. I always used the office in Cotteridge, Birmingham.
