Realigning the Clam Shell

checkld

New member
does anyone have any clue or advice on how I can realign the clam shell to my 986 Boxster please? It’s dropped in the passenger side and I don’t know how to realign it. I’ve checked Youtube and other areas but to no avail. I’m hoping the wizarding community of this forum can help shed a light in the situation.

Very easy.

There are plastic selectable spacers that fit onto prongs under the clam, they only push on and can fall off mine did. The OPC sell them in different thicknesses so trial and error, try and measure how much it needs to come up.

You can see this by stopping the hood in the clam up position.

Legin, you are wise and wonderful. Thanks for the tip as through that I have found the culprit for the problem. There are little plastic stoppers in the channel where the clamshell runs along. The RHS one is there, but the left is totally missing. I've rung round and finally managed to get a set from Design911 (£15 for the pair) so sorted. Happy Days !!!!!!
