Well its official boys and girls. Eventually we have had confirmation from Witton Castle of our 2019 Regional Show date.

Please don't forget to add it to your diary now to hopefully avoid those holiday clashes etc.

I am happy to confirm Porsche Centre Teesside, Specialist cars of Malton & Gunther and his tastes of the Black Forest will be joining us again at this years event along with plenty more.

If you have any ideas for trade stands or possible show items please drop me a line regarding them.

Hi Greg - we have a friend who can provide a bar service for events (anything you require including soft drinks) called Yardstick 36. Not sure if a bar would be acceptable but probably no different to going to Porsche Teesside launch nights. Let me know if this is something that could work & I can put you in touch

cheers Trevor

Entries our now open and would like to invite all R3 members & Visitors class entrants, who wish to take part in this years concours competition to complete an entry form. Our event will follow the same winning format as in previous years with trophies awarded for the top three Regional and visitor class winning cars in our Concours competition. A concours form can be downloaded here along with concours rules. All Regions and enthusiasts are invited to come along and enjoy the day but you must be a current member to compete in the concours competition.

Evening ladies and gents

Just a quick pitch from me. Greg and Deb put so much blood, sweat and tears into the annual show. Year on year it continues to grow in size and with that complexity.

All I'm asking over the coming 2 months or so is that you all spread the word about the event (to everyone, members and none members alike). We have such a great and varied selection of retail vendors this year we want the headcount to be higher than ever.

I'd personally love to see well over the magic number of 300 Porsches on the field this year (we've come close before so no reason we can't smash that landmark if we try).

Even if you come in something that doesn't carry the fabled Stuttgart logo as we know there is plenty of parking for all and best of all its all free (not much else in life is these days)

Can't wait to see you all there and I'm already praying for perfect weather.

Anyone needing further information then don't hesitate to ask Greg, Deb or any of the committee either on the forum or at the next club night.

Thanks everyone

Dave

Concours entries are now open please see here.

R3 your Region needs your help, I have unlocked this from the of the top of the page to gauge if there is enough interest and desire to try to keep our Regional show at the top of the forum list due to it's own merits, rather than simply pinning it there.

I know sometimes when events get pinned at the top any potentially new info can sometimes get overlooked.

If you haven't already checked out my last update, please take a look. I am also still trying to finalise a few more trade stands that I feel will add to your enjoyment at this event, all we need now is plenty of commitment and support.

Jools I didn't know you liked cleaning cars....

Hi All,

As part of the Witton Castle show to celebrate the new 911 992 model, the events team are putting on a display of 911s past leading up to the 992, showing the evolution through the years.

We of course have amazing 911s in Region 3, so we are kindly asking for members to help contribute to this display, so we can show off what a great region we are.

So if you are not wanting to go quite to the in-depth detailing lengths that our concours entrants go to, but fancy putting your 911 on display an excellent example of the breed, please email me on dvbradford@rocketmail.com and I can add you to the list.

One caveat, if you were to display your car it would need to be from 10am to 4pm strict as this is a static stand. This is a small price to pay for the admiring looks your pride and joy will get taking centre stage.

Thanks, David.

Please note spaces are still available for R3 members to enter our concours, but don't delay we need to start as soon as possible preparing for this years display.
