I would be in Dave. But the usual caveat applies - depends on any diary date clashes (also make sure it's not Le Mans week!)

Me too stephen koch though would need to be at the weekend for me to make it as i dont leave work till late. Might also be able to make a friday though.

Me too, could only be the weekend, preferably Sunday. [&:]

I would be happy with double the amount we have at the moment bearing in mind that 25% will not be able to make it for one reason or another.

To be honest I haven't seen Paul for some months and it will be up to him as to how many are worth it. I think we should cover his lunch and petrol expenses between us but again I haven't discussed with him anything more than a brief chat at Oulton Park last year.

Not sure what you thought on format but would be great if it could be done in garage or outdoor area around a 964 or amongst 964s.

Hi David,

Give Mandy or I a call if you want the Clubhouse to help facilitate the event. We can organise lunch, projector, seating etc and then will be happy to help.

Hope to speak soon.

Thanks,

Chris

Perhaps attendance would be higher if we ran these Seminars at national events which would mean that travel time/costs are easier. Classic could have a couple or four sessions over the 3 days and one session at one day events. Seems to work for PCA.

Good shout.

To be honest they are well attended when promoted nationally as stand-alone events. The Club's 993 seminar at Porsche Centre in Swindon has 130 members booked in and was moved from the Clubhouse to cope with the demand.

If David wants this to be a nationally promoted event we'll happily accommodate, he just needs to let us know.

Thanks,

Chris

Sorry it's taken me so long to answer but I was locked out and unable to sign in for some reason.

Format will deffinitely be indoors unless some one can forecast weather with 80% accuracy 6 months ahead. Presumably there will be enough 964s there from the participants if there is any need for hands on demo.

It will be outside of the racing season as mentioned before, so it'll be late Oct to Mar time.

I envisage it being hosted at Cornbury House as others have been in the past but unless we have around 25 signatures of willing participants it's unlikely to take place. I see that there have been over 400 views of this thread but only 10 have signed up including myself.

To get the maximum numbers I will try to get it on a weekend so the workers can attend.

This is at a preplanning stage at the moment to see if there's any interest out there.

If you did want to do it with a car and indoors the PEC in silverstone has a number of large garages by the handling track. You could easily get 40 people around a car there. My car had a petrol leak when i was doing a trackday there so had a walk around them looking for the porsche mechanic.

In terms of number of people is it worth posting on 993 and 930 forums? Other model owners might be interested to find out more about 964, i’ve spoken to a few considering a 964 for example.
