Peter Bradley

Sadly Peter Bradley passed away on Christmas Day.

Many you will know Peter and his wife Margaret (who passed away a couple of years ago) from his incredible Tractor collection which he always displayed at our annual show, previously at Harewood House and later at Lotherton Hall.   They both used to regularly attend Club nights having been members since 1980, and latterly Peter was award Honouree Membership.  Peter and his wife Margaret were absolute stars and the nicest people you could hope to meet.   Although they were widely known for their Tractor collection, they were incredibly adventurous and had some amazing stories to tell.

Although Margaret passed away a couple of years ago and Peter became less active afterwards, up until that time they were still travelling the world on some incredible journeys.   I remember in particularly they had been on an organised trip to the Mille Miglia that involved sitting up in the square in Brescia until 3.00am and then going back to the hotel for a couple of hours sleep before a trip to the Ferrari Museum.  They then got back to England before jumping into the 993 for a European road trip.  They were well into their 70s at this point and still seemed to have boundless energy.  When he got home Peter had a painting commissioned of Hans Herrmann's infamous crossing in front of a train and ducking under the barrier from the 1954 Mille Miglia.   Peter Kindly sent me a print has been hanging in pride of place in my hall way ever since.

Peter will be sadly missed, he was one of life's most genuine nice people, who you could happily lose many any hour just talking too about his adventures.

When we have more information about funeral arrangements we will post them here for those that may be interested.

How very sad, yet another legend lost,

I only ever met him and Margeret a handful of times but you couldnt forget him once you had met him, such devotion to the tractors and such a long history with Porsche, I first met him in my Teens in the old Yeadon showroom and have always sought him out when I have seen him at events... another great loss to our clubs community And undoubtedly his own in Sheffield.

Thanks for for sharing this sad news.

    How sad.
Peter was a really lovely man who always seemed genuinely pleased and interested in everything individuals were doing, and he was never too busy to share his recollections and stories.
Just one example of his generosity of spirit :- whilst attending Silverstone Classic some years ago, we received a 'phone call from Peter via Chris Seaward. Peter was at home reading Porsche Post in which was the report about Porkers in the Trough, which some of you may remember we used to organise. He was so impressed with the amount of money raised in one day for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, based at Preston Hospital, that he wanted to make a donation himself, and sure enough a cheque duly arrived from him. A generous gesture indeed.
A man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I won't make it but he was a true gentleman. I recall a warm sunny afternoon at the 50th Anniversary in Cirencester where he just chatted to us about his tractors and cars.
Peter will be fondly remembered. RIP
