Well happy 968 owners I would like to wish you all the best for 2019, you never know there might be some meets or days out suggested

Let's hope so

This is true, the reg sec has not posted on here for over a year, but moans about lack of support in the Porsche post, work that one out

Doubt Ill join PCGB next year. Got my certificate, havent been to any of the meets(my choice), read the mag in about 10 mins

I wouldn't write PCGB off based on the inaction of the 968 Register Secretary.

What you can get out of the club depends very much on where you are in the country I think. Up here in the North East we have a very active region with many runs out and events during the year.

+1 to that, R25 is very active with loads of good stuff during the year, we enjoy the social side of the region even though, for various reasons, we cannot participate in many of the organised outings.

However, for 968 owners, PCGB is a chocolate fireguard and has been for many years. Thankfully we have a very active and helpful 968 specific forum run/owned by a previous PCGB 968 RS!

Good point Chris but the state of the situation should be rectified and there should be something for 968 owners on here not just months of blank

Wishful thinking Martin - the 968 RS before Ken killed the 968 register, Ken initially tried to resurrect the register but it was too little too late. Shame, as the active 944 register shows what can be done! However, when I look at the PCGB forum, anything older than Boxster - with a couple of exceptions, but not many - you might as well forget, particularly if it's front engined!

Members that have paid should expect more for thier cash than a moan in Porsche post, I remember a couple of years back that days out was advertised on here, although I did not attend as I am not a member

Well I did ask the Essex group once and was told I could come to a meeting but not on any of the drive outs as I was not a member and it was also suggested that the car might not be suitable and might not be able to keep up with the others

at that comment the phrase, go £&@k yourself sprang to mind, but even so I still try to add some value to this bit of the forum, and even then some folk decide they still know better, and although they have not added anything other than sarcastic comments

still after all that crap I try to add something now and then

Happy New Years everyone, the Yorkshire region is active and allow old bangers! How many 968’s are on the road ?

Sorry, I meant in general, can’t be many compared with 944 s ? Might be a reason for less action on here.

Main reason is that, for obvious reasons, 968 owners use their active model specific forum. You should try it!

I joined, made worthwhile by discovering the previous owner of my car had been an active member. That said, cant say I approve of all of his actions regrettably.

I even managed to get Waylander onto Instagram :ROFLMAO:
