Porschacare Stevenage - anyone used?

Moved to Chiltern region as think this may be on their patch.
Thanks - I did wonder which region might be most appropriate, but Stevenage is in North Herts on the other side of the M1, and Chilterns is more south west Bucks way.

My pal Joel Newman uses Porschacare and raves about them. Joel is a fellow columnist in Total 911 magazine.

I used him last January for a new clutch and IMS - good price and service that I happily recommend.

Many thanks PGK - good to have a 1st hand recommendation.

Just tried to identify your post ad helpful, but think it somehow marked as ‘not’. Sorry about that, as I’m an IT luddite I’m not sure how to change it back ??

edit - ah, just let me do it now after a screen refresh ??????

Well done, I think......I just got three emails to say you thought it was helpful! Your not the only one who struggles a bit with IT.........

Well I’m booked in with Matt at Porschacare in 2 weeks time for:

1) MOT
2) Minor service (incl visual inspection of all brake and suspension components, & inspection of all cooling pipes and hoses for leaks / corrosion)
3) supply & fit Goodrich SS brake hoses
4) fit ‘racing’ brake fluid
5) fit GT3 front-brake air-ducts
6) + some ‘cosmetics’ (black
gloss painting rear-quarter side-vent grilles & possible internal centre-rear console painting Carrara white (if the MoT doesn’t pick anything expensive up))

I actually visited his (newly moved into) workshop just after Xmas and was so impressed with his friendly nature, willingness to give me his time, and obvious love for and knowledge of Porsche’s, that I booked in there and then.

I’ll report back in March, once the works done and I’ve collected my car.

Matt at Porshacare is a genuine chap and a real gent, will be taking my 981 to Porshacare from now on. Was having a problem with my exhaust and main dealer had the car for 2 days but couldn’t fault the PSE, said the valves were opening correctly etc so there was no issue according to them. They said it may be a fault with the spark plugs and would need further investigation at further cost if I wasn’t happy. I initially wanted to try out DW and Kev was really nice and helpful, but unfortunately being far away from me and needing to book quite far in advance made it quite difficult trying to find a time which suited us both, especially with the nature of my job as a doctor. I decided to give Porshacare a go because they were more local and I’d also heard good things about Matt. Had an appointment the next week, took my car over and he diagnosed a simple seized valve in the PSE which just needed a bit of lubricating, meaning previously I had been running on half a sports exhaust (and oddly the OPC didn’t pick that up!). 20 mins later the problem was solved and it was back to sounding glorious. Matt didn’t charge me anything and was just happy to see a smile put back on my face. Will be avoiding the OPC in favour of Porshacare in the future, and would highly recommend!
