We are again planning a PCGB Region 13 WOTY (Weekend Of The Year) for the weekend of 1st to 3rd November 2019, staying for 2 nights (1st & 2nd November) at the Bron Eifion Country House Hotel, Criccieth, in North Wales.

www.broneifion.co.uk

The hotel offers a variety of rooms, priced as follows:

Classic double/twin - £145 per room per night dinner, bed and breakfast
Superior king - £155 per room per night dinner, bed and breakfast
Deluxe king - £175 per room per night, dinner, bed and breakfast

We have booked the whole hotel for the weekend, but as usual we are limited by the number of rooms that the hotel has, so we will have to allocate rooms on a first come basis.

If you wish to join us, please email Philip Sloper at philipjsloper@gmail.com as soon as possible so that he can reserve you a room.

We each need to pay the 50% deposit for your room on the 2019 WOTY direct to the Bron
Eifion Hotel, by telephoning 01766 522385.
Please pay the deposit before the end of January 2019, and then the balance is due at least 14
days prior to arrival. The hotel has a list of all of those going and the room type.
Our contact at the hotel is Marie Welsh, who is the Hotel Manager, but other staff should
also be able to assist.

Update 19/12/2018

Unfortunately we have run out of rooms at the Bron Eifion Hotel, so have arranged for additional accommodation at The Lion Hotel, which is 0.9 miles away; a 3 minute drive or a 15 minute walk from the Bron Eifion.

www.lionhotelcriccieth.co.uk

The cost of a room with ensuite facilities is £95 per room per night, bed and breakfast. Dinner would be taken at the Bron Eifon Hotel with the rest of the group, and the cost of the 3 course dinner at the Bron Eifon is £32 per person.

So the total cost per night, staying bed and breakfast at The Lion Hotel and eating dinner at the Bron Eifion Hotel, would be £159 per couple.

There is some private parking at The Lion Hotel, but they can’t reserve it for us. But there is also a pay and display car park 4 minutes walk away (£1 for 4 hours, £2 for 8 hours, £3 for 12 hours, £4 for 24 hours) or you can park at the Bron Eifion Hotel, which is 15 minute walk away. There are local taxis available, or some of us staying at the Bron Eifion can ferry people back and forth - if we haven’t had too much to drink!

Please also see the post below regarding The Lion Hotel.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE HOTEL DIRECT.

Arrangements for the WOTY program will be announced nearer the time, but we will meet at the Bron Eifion hotel before dinner on the Friday, and we plan a drive on the Saturday, with options to visit local attractions. On the Sunday there will be drive to a lunch venue, before returning home.

A big thank you to all involved in organising the WOTY - especially Patrick and Sylvia for the brilliant drive to Sweeney Hall .

Great weekend meeting new and old faces !

Cheers

Adrian and Jude

Thank you Adrian, I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the weekend. It was very much a team effort by the R13 "committee" and of course it wouldn't have been half as much fun without all of the members support.

Until the next time.

Patrick

Echoing Patrick's words, it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves, but most of the work was done by Patrick & Sylvia, so a big round of applause for them for organising another very successful WOTY!
