2007 Boxster - Remote and cabin light issues

Just purchased my first Porsche and love it. It’s a bit different from my TD5 Defender :)
A couple of niggles I am trying to work out...
1)The remote works, but will not open the bonnet/boot, although you can open these from the controls in the car. Any ideas?
2) The interior light works, but i cant get this to go off after turning on the ignition (apart from manually turning to the off position).
Help will be much appreciated!

You do need to hold the button for a few seconds to open the boots as its not instant, and point in general area of cabin, hope that helps.

Thanks Kenwood, that was the issue. I found this bit out the other week, but still have the interior light issue...

Presume your light goes out if you start the engine? Or lock the car? The interior lights will stay on a fair while if you just unlock, the front boot stays on for 2 hours but then goes out and stays out until you re shut it (when charging battery) let me know whats happening and I will see if mine is the same.
