Decemebr and January Events

You may be thinking that events are slowing down as we approach Christmas and the New Year. Far from it for R18 members
 
Wed      19th Dec  Monthly Meeting – Garstang GC          Quiz organised by Kevin Dodd, and a few words from Sean Conboy regarding the entries for the R18 photographic competition. Start time 19.45
 
Sunday 16th Dec - Cars & Coffee, Preston Sports & Supercar Club meeting at The Ancient Oak, Merry Trees Lane, Cottam, Preston, PR4 0NZ.  This event is normally held at the Phantom Winger but the organisers have split the events and the supercars will be at theAncient Oak, with the remainder staying at The Phantom winger.  These 2 venues are less than 2 miles apart.  Start time 9.00
 
Sunday 23rd Dec - Cars & Coffee, Liverpool.  Norman Shum has arranged the last  Cars & Coffee for 2018 at the Chung Ku restaurant, Columbus Quay, Riverside Drive, Liverpool,
 
If you fancy a run out on Boxing Day
Wed 26th Dec- Classic Car & Ride In Day Lakeland Car Museum, Backbarrow, Ulverston, LA12 8TA.  This event is running all day.  Don’t forget you membership card to get 10% off the entry fee.  Good Café as well.
 

In case you are still feeling peckish after Christmas

Thursday 27th Dec - Post Christmas Lunch - San Marco’s Restaurant, Much Hoole, Near  Preston.  Dean Easterby has organised this and if you want to go please contact Dean on 07074 613324.
 
And if you have not had too late  night
Tues 1st Jan 2019 - Breakfast Meeting – Cornerhouse, Wrightington.  This is always fully booked and you need to be there by 9.00 to get on the car park
 
 
Wed 16th January 2019 - Monthly Meeting Garstang GC Talk by Rob & Steve Cotton about Rob’s rallying in the Formula Junior 1000 British Rally Championship.  Start at 19.45.

Unfortunately I won’t be at the December Monthly Meeting, so may Judy & I wish you a happy  Christmas .  We would also like to thank all the fantastic R18 members who have organised events for the Region  in 2018.  We are working on the 2019 Events Calendar, which I hope to circulate in early January.
