I met with Peter Bonk at Silverstone this afternoon where his team were testing a 718 GTS PDK VLN race car and a 997 and 991 Cup Cars. Peter said he hit 289 kph at Döttinger Höhe compared with 264 kph SportAuto Supertest running stock GTS bodywork except for a fixed ducktail spoiler. He said he will send me some further details of the 718 and I'll post them here or the Modified section if and when received. The drivers liked the 718's torque.....

Ralph,

A very interesting post. Good to see the 718 Cayman GTS PDK given some positive news, and not a detrimental word about the exhaust note!

I am not in the least surprised the 718 Cayman GTS PDK race car impresses respected experienced motorsport drivers.

I am looking forward to getting my new 2019 Cayman GTS PDK on the track next year. My current 718 CS PDK already impresses on the track so I am looking forward to appraising the comparison between the two models. My new car is due to be shipped to the UK as early as next week I am told.

The new 982 GT4 is going to have to some machine to stay ahead of the mainstream stock on the track.

Brian
